The first tip to aid your bandsaw blade is to store your blades away from moisture, and humidity. The aim here is to prevent rust, or pitting of your blades.

Don’t ignore the daily maintenance tasks! You need to ensure your bandsaw blades are free of sawdust, sap, and general dirt and debris. Additionally, check for any wear to your bandsaw blades, your chip brush, and guides. Your chip brush should be made of nylon or brass. Wire brushes should be avoided, due to the damage they can cause to your blades.
